la plus belle

I'm very happy to start my blog with this work "la plus belle" because it's a work to which I'm very fond and represents a vision of beauty that I had some time ago.
You know , I could not bear that anyone might consider ugly what I considered beautiful.
my concept of beauty is divided into: objective beauty and subjective beauty. Objective beauty lke Plato's concept of ideas, is unchangeable, immaterial, eternal and absolute (but can't exist in the real world). Subjective beauty moves from the objective beauty but it's changeable beacuse influenced by fashion and personal tastes (and being imperfect, can exist in an imperfect world).
What i tried to do in this work was to smooth subjective beauty in order to get to its core :  objective beauty.
I have therefore taken from magazine and the internet ten faces of beautiful girls.
Below I've listed names and photos of some of them

Natalia Vodianova

                                                Adriana Lima

Jessica Stam

Margheryta Senchylo

Gemma Ward

Abbey Lee Kershaw

Doutzen Kroes

I took all these faces and I worked them together with Photoshop in order to create a single face supposed to represent what was behind all the others : objective beauty.

This was the result: a figure ethereal and intangible, that came out unconvinced by a hank of hair and writing.

Which, after further changes with Photoshop, looked like that.

Certainly a Nordic vision of beauty. This because (as I realized later) all the model I used were white with blue eyes. So I decided to add the Black Venus Naomi Campbell and the Asian Du Juan.

And the result was this:

Don 't you find her unrealistically beautiful?

But I want to tell you a secret that I realized doing this work: not only that the face I finally got is not "the face", but also that there is nothing further from objectivity than this my work.
This is because, despite my best efforts, it was impossible to be completely impartial in its implementation (an 'impartiality that I had already lost because I decided which models to use and which not) and after all it should be considered that colors and light on the faces from where I started were the result of team work and choices of photographers, makeup artist and photo retoucher.

Today I stopped to look for absolute values of beauty, because I know that if one day I'll find them it will be contemplating the super celestial, dead.
